Allow me to introduce myself.

 Hi, welcome to my website, I'm Sharon Antonelli 
 and I was born and grew up in the Washington, DC
 Metro Area.  After a productive 35 year career 
 with the Federal Government, I retired and moved
 to Fort Myers, Florida.

 I received a BS in Business Administration at the
 American University.  Later, I returned to school
 and received a Certificate as an Electronics
 Technician from the Capital Institute of
 Technology which I put to use repairing laboratory
 equipment for the scientific community at the 
 National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

 It was at the NIH that my photographic interest
 blossomed and developed into a passion.  For
 years I took pictures at family events and
 documented my travels.  After signing up for an
 NIH Camera Club photo workshop, I discovered a
 totally different experience in photography.  I
 began attending meetings and learning new skills
 and techniques.  I competed in club competitions 

and in area wide camera club competitions quickly moving from "novice" to "advanced" status after winning many awards.  I then began competing in International competitions through the Photographic Society of America and won several awards. 

I began my professional photographic career in 1990 by accepting a wedding client from another photographer.  I developed my photography business through referrals from clients and other photographers.

I continue to participate in workshops and classes trying to stay on the leading edge of technology.  I was a member of the Maryland Professional Photographers and the Professional Photographers Society of Greater Washington, DC.  After moving to Fort Myers, I became a member of the Professional Photographers of Southwest Florida and the Florida Professional Photographers.  I am also a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.

I use the latest in Digital Photography equipment and technology.
